Llantarnum Abbey has been the home to Sisters of St. Joseph, Annecy since 1946. In October 1650 the first six sisters of St. Joseph made their vows. In order to enter this religious life, sister’s must still abide by these fifteen vows and with this declaration should have the fullness of the holy spirit in her heart; professing to be a congregation of the most pure and perfect love.
The diligence and faith within this gentle community is illustrated with compassion, reflecting the sister’s spirit as they go about their extraordinary lives. The Abbey forms a way of life and structure for the community which the sisters play an important part in with their own duties and their life inside this convent follows strict and traditional rules.
